UCSF Research and Academic Building at San Francisco General Hospital Campus (RAB) and Related Site Improvements
UCSF will construct a new, approximately 175,000 gross-square-foot research building, 5 stories, comprised of wet and dry laboratory and administrative desktop space, at the Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG) campus. The building exterior finishes consist typically of high-performance glass, terra cotta panels, cast in place concrete and metal panel screens. The gravity force resisting system is steel framing with light weight concrete on metal deck. The lateral force resisting system is buckling restrained brace (BRB) frames. The foundation is spread footings with tie down anchors at the braced frames.
