Samsung Research Center Buildings 1 & 2 and Parking Garages

This $100 million research and development center project involved demolition of a 4-building campus and new construction of 385,000 SF Class A office space. The new space consists of two 6-story post-tensioned concrete structures with a glass curtain wall and GFRC skin. The buildings also feature round concrete columns and upturned beams/caps hidden under a raised access floor system to create a fully flat underside of deck. This Research Center also includes offsite improvements and 8.85 acres of site work, with a new 5-level and a 6-level parking structure with precast skin features glass elevator enclosure and roof PV panels. The project was designed for LEED Platinum.
